OCC
Rooms
Occupancy rate
The share of available room nights sold in a period.
OCC = room nights sold / room nights available × 100 %
Calculate in the calculator →How to read the metric
High occupancy at a low rate can mean revenue left on the table; read it together with ADR and RevPAR. Out-of-order rooms are usually excluded from availability.
Worked example
100 rooms × 30 days = 3 000 room nights; 2 160 sold → OCC = 72 %.
